Fuchskaute

Fuchskaute is with 657 m the highest point of the Westerwald, a low mountain range in the middle of Germany, not far of the cities Frankfurt and Cologne.

On the place you can see on the picture above the Interesing Group Fuchskaute of the DARC has a small shack between two remarkable antenna towers of more than 30 m high. Members can operate from there.

I use to go there for WAEDC in November each year and for UHF/VHF-contests in March of some years. It is although the place I met Murphy while the WAEDC 2005 - you can see my article I wrote about this: Murphy auf der Fuchskaute: (published in cqDL 2007/03)
